Erik Hanson

Erik Hanson is a Master Applicator with 15 years of experience and a Registered Maine Guide. Years spent in Maine’s woods have shown him firsthand the destruction invasive species cause to native trees: browntail moth, emerald ash borer, hemlock woolly adelgid, Asian longhorned beetle, winter moth, Japanese knotweed and the European wood wasp.

He founded Tree Medics with a simple mission: heal trees, restore nature and help native plants and trees reclaim their territory.

“Our goal is simple: save trees whenever possible and help them thrive for generations to come.”

How we work

What makes Tree Medics different

Injections firstWe use the Arborjet system and prefer injections over sprays: better for the environment, with better long-term results.
The right tool for the jobThere is a time and a place for a contact spray. We always choose the safest, most effective approach for each tree.
Honest recommendationsIf a tree can’t be saved, we tell you. If it doesn’t need treatment, we tell you that too.
Science-based treatmentPrograms built on diagnosis, pest life cycles and proven methods, not guesswork.
Local and accountableLocally owned and operated in Southern Maine, serving the communities we live in.
Long-term stewardshipWe care about the health of your trees years from now, not just this season.
